About Our Ministry
Vision
Our vision is to train Christian workers through University of the Nations schools, and to contribute towards the creation of a hope-filled community.
About
Hope Land is situated close to the shores of Lake Victoria, and covers approximately 70 acres of land. The vision for Hope Land is that it’s to be used for the healing of society. It began as the Lake Victoria Training Centre in 1991 with the vision to create a model community, modeling answers to orphan care, general education, and skills training, care of the terminally ill and AIDS prevention and education.
The name Lake Victoria Training Centre is significant in the importance of training and our desire to impact the Lake Victoria region. However, the name was too long for every- day use so staff sought God for a day-to-day name and He gave them the name Hope Land.
