Outreach
Going to the kids and adults who are on the edge of society
Reaching those who are overlooked
Each week, we go to some of the most needy places in our local community. For example, we visit the slum of Masese to do a children's ministry for around 200-400 kids (depending on the week), go to the orphanage ``Home of Hope`` to be with disabled kids, and visit people in hospitals and prisons. (Note: many of these ministries are in sensitive areas where pictures are either not allowed or would potentially harm the dignity of the people depicted. So, if you are interested in learning more about a ministry but aren't finding pictures or much detail about it, please contact us directly).

Why go to these places?
Marginalized people are on the outside of society, often because they are difficult to deal with or have a shameful history. But Jesus commands us to go to everyone and share the Good News of his love and salvation with all people. Jesus showed us that he really meant ``everyone``: sick people, prostitutes, those who took people's money unfairly, kids who no one respected... so, we are here to do the same.

Outreach Leader: Lamech Mbabazi
Lamech coordinates the evangelism and outreach teams of Hopeland and has a big heart for those who are often ignored, especially children. His energy and musical talent light up the room, and he likes to make sure the people who are ministered to get practical help such as food or comfort. At the same time, he cares that the people who are reached connect with God on a deeper level, and that they get to know God as a personal savior and friend.
