Lecture Phase
Beginning every day with worship and intercession, the lecture phase focuses on fostering a connection with God and building unity within the students. Students are also encouraged to develop personal disciplines, such as Bible reading and daily quiet time with God.
The mornings will concentrate on enabling students to know God better through teachings from a variety of international and local speakers, with an emphasis on performing arts. The afternoons will focus on practical application of the arts, with daily rehearsals and workshops. This will be a time of challenging and developing your existing skills, so it is necessary to have at least some skill in one or more of the performance disciplines.
Disciplines include:
Dance: Come and be trained in professional level of contemporary/modern, as well as choreograph and different cultural dances. More than twenty hours of your week as a dancer will be dedicated to training and rehearsals.
Music/Instruments: Have your voice and musicianship honed to communicate God’s love with others. You can be a part of the weekly basic vocal therapy and practical training, such as worship leading, song-writing, and learning to be anointed by the Holy Spirit in your songs. We want our voices to be utilised for His glory, and not our own.
Acting: You will learn to bring a communication of different messages through acting. You will be helped and trained on how to make Jesus known for audiences of multiple ages, cultures and languages! Learn to be empowered by the Holy Spirit through your performance. Understanding acting as a powerful tool will help you to know how to use the four main types of communication: verbal, non-verbal, written and visual.
Disciplines...
Media/Sound engineering: Get trained on how to create a production. Your public speaking/MCing will be shaped and improved. You will be helped on how to be creative in your story telling and learn to communicate through photos, as well as other creativities of communication. You will know how to transfer the unseen details to bring the beauty into a tangible image. We welcome all sound engineers, tech-crew, backstage managers, stage hands, make-up artists, costume designers, and professional action photographers. All of our activities are very technical and practical, especially in our outreach phase. As part of the stage crew, you can be the hands and feet that help the story come to life, and make God known through productions.
Evangelism: Build your confidence to use your talent or gift boldly to share the gospel message, your testimony, and preach to the nations. Be trained to offer prayer, healing and ultimately lead people into real relationship with their creator.
